The Honeypot Children’s Charity supports disadvantaged children aged 5-12 who are bearing the heavy load of caring for a parent or sibling, often single-handedly, for up to 50 hours a week.
Since 1996 Honeypot has been working to enhance the lives of young carers through a range of services to meet young carers changing needs. Honeypot's wrap round services supports these young carers by:
Making happy memories on Respite Breaks at a Honeypot Houses, giving them the chance to de-stress and just be happy, carefree children.
Building resilience, confidence, and social skills on educational booster breaks (SEAL).
Continuing friendships and experiencing the first trip to the seaside, riding on a rollercoaster or holding a baby sheep on Memory Making Days.
Accessing support for essential life items such as a new washing machine or a bike through Honeypot's Wellbeing Fund and nutritious meals through our Healthy Eating and Nutrition Service.
Pastoral Support for young carers and their family’s when they are struggling to cope with lives challenges.
We help them make happy childhood memories and build brighter futures.
